Da-Ta Biotech provides cell-based assays for the biotechnology industry. The company serves as a beta site for R&D companies (involved in drug, device or diagnostic assays development), from primary proof-of-concept to final set up and validation and demonstration of efficacy.
In-house testing capabilities that can be provided per demand and routinely include more than two dozen human and rodent cell lines and a wide range of (disease) models. Available assays for example include: a model for the screening of anti-cancer drugs to determine EC50, few models for measuring the rate of wound healing and many others.
Researchers can test their samples using Da-Ta Biotech’s robust protocol or have Da-Ta adopt their suggested SOP/protocol and thereby save the costs involved in setting up an independent laboratory.
Da-Ta Biotech is managed by Dr. Rinat Borenshtain-Koreh team, additional experts and experienced R&D, who can guide researchers from the discovery stage to investor presentations.

Da-Ta Biotech was established in order to provide consultancy and guidance to early stage biotech companies. The team at Da-Ta will help the start-up management to select the shortest most promising path to demonstrating the claims. Da-Ta Biotech lab and its state of the art equipment can be rented to perform the first steps of R&D.
Venture capital firms and investors can ask DaTa biotech to perform due diligence on new projects and supply them with a professional evaluation of the claims. The process can be done at Da-Ta Biotech lab after technology transfer or at the original site by representatives from Da-Ta Biotech.
Currently, DaTa Biotech is engaged in performing cell based assays for different pharma clients. For example:
1. Screening of a NCE library in order to find a lead compound to be farther developed as an anti-cancer drug.
2. Evaluation of the effect of chemical modifications on new drug’s stability to esterase cleavage in plasma.
3. Competitive evaluation of wound healing process in the presence of a new proposed treatment.
4. Preparation of cancer cell lines in Hollow fibers for further efficacy assays utilizing the NCI screening method.
Tests are done in parallel by several methods using both cancer cell lines and normal primary cell cultures on different substrates.
Da-Ta Biotech can also prepare cells for further use in in vivo models.
